Carswell – Martin’s Criminal Code Database

- Searchable database of the Canadian Criminal Code and includes the full text of the following:
- all versions of the Criminal Code dating back to 1955,
- cross-references, synopses, and annotations from Martin's Annual Criminal Code dating back to 1955,
- forms of charges dating back to 1970, and
- cases referred to in Martin's case law annotations

In order to access any of these databases, please see the Manager, Court Library Services during open hours – these databases, with the exception of CanLII, are only accessible in the Law Library. Off-site access is not currently available.
The Manager, Court Library Services will assist with questions or provide mini-training sessions upon request with these databases in the Law Library.

*All published decisions are distributed by the Nunavut Courts to LexisNexis, Carswell, and CanLII, however, these are commercial publishers and the Nunavut Courts cannot tell them what to publish. These publishers are very good at publishing most, if not all, of our decisions in their databases.
